BERLIN | By Alberto Lozano | At the end of the week, good news are coming from Germany’s trade data. After calendar and seasonal adjustment, German imports rose by 4.5% on the month, rebounding from a sharp fall in May (-3.4%) with the highest month-on-month increase since November 2010. In addition, German exports increased by 0.9%, narrowing the criticised surplus to 16.2 billion euros from 18.8 billion the previous month.

NEW YORK | Obama didn’t manage to resume the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis because there was nothing to resume. The surprise is that his trip did work to boost Israel-Turkey relations.
Israel Railways will activate a contract option with Vossloh España, the Spanish subsidiary of the German Vossloh Group, and purchase nine more train Euro3000 locomotives . Last year, Vossloh España provided 15 Euro3000 units and 14 Euro4000 ones. Israel Railways has already been delivered 73 locomotives designed and manufactured in Vossloh España’s factory in Valencia.
